Chicago Blood by BlackRoseProductions

Unfortunately I can't embed this video, but it's just a click away:

Chicago Blood

My role as Scarlette Luciano is certainly not the highlight of this movie, but I'm thrilled to have been a part of it. At the encouragement of a friend I took a look at the script, and after reading it I signed up immediately. The movie was released today and I can't say enough about how outstanding it turned out. There's a consistent dark mood and the intense directing style really plays out well. My fellow castmembers delivered star performances (a special tip of the to Jase180 who plays the lead, Tony Roselli).

Worth keeping a close eye out for is the masterful use of lighting and shadows.

Nothing is rushed. This movie really is a work of art, and I highly recommend viewing it.

Screenshots of I Will Not Speak of It

One of the projects I've been working on is nearing completion.

It started off being crafted for one competition under the name "The Thingie." But once I really dug into the script and started filming it in iclone3, well, it took on a mind of its own. It's now entitled "I Will Not Speak of It" and in a strange twist of fate ended up fitting an entirely different competition (the Distance competition).

I'm in the final touch stages of production and hopefully this will be part of the SL screening being organized by thebiz that's scheduled for the early part of December.

I've been enjoying fine-tuning the lighting and shadows in iclone, and since this movie will be short (only around 4 minutes)it's given me more time to tweak those details.

iclone Training

Yesterday I had the opportunity to join in on an iclone3 training session run by James Martin. Boy oh boy, was that worth every minute of my time!

Covered areas were some great camera & lighting techniques, as well as some helpful tips on using the timeline.

I've been leaning on James' iclone training videos & written tutorials lately as I've tried to expand my knowledge of iclone, and the session yesterday was a marvelous jumpstart.

Between his tips, the great group and resources at www.coolclones.com, the ever-patient Rainman, and the option of additional sessions with James, I'll have no excuses to not create something interesting with iclone.

My brain is moving & grooving with ideas. I have 4 projects in process right now (I can't help it, my muse is very demanding!). I am hoping to have one ready for thebiz's TMU in SL premier night. That will be a first for our group, so I want to support it if I can.

Dudeo & The Valleygirl Teaser

I'm thrilled to pieces! Vesobe has graciously shared all of his Dudeo & The Valleygirl radioplay files with me and given me permission to bring this drama to virtual life!

In case the title isn't obvious, it's a parody of Romeo & Juliet.

Here's a small teaser I put together. The teaser features some great acting by TheMGMKid, and the full movie has a tremendously talented cast.

I know that everyone else involved would love to read your feedback, and as they are all too lazy to check out my blog (slackers!) it would be great if you could leave some comments with the video on TMU.

To really delve deeply into this project using iclone3, I'm going to have to investigate animations - right now I only have the default ones that came with the software, and a few from the promo for the Backstage feature (like sit down, walk with horse, etc.). I also need something pink for Valleygirl to wear. Oh! And leather clothes for one of the gangs.

A fun project! Wish me luck!

New project in the works

I don't have a title yet but I do have a new movie in the works. This one will be filmed entirely in iclone3. The best way to describe it at this point is as a glimpse at an alternate Garden of Eden.

Dulci, do you have any teaser screenshots for us yet?

I'm so glad you asked! As a matter of fact, I do...

Here's a shot of one of the main characters:

Not enough, you say?

Here's a shot of the other main character:

Can you tell I've delved into the lighting features in iclone3 (thank you James Martin!)? And no - the green lighting is NOT accidental.

Innocence by Vesobe

A city where monsters lurk in the cracks between buildings, where human cruelty is stalked by the supernatural. A dead woman in an alleyway. A scared girl in a cellar. A man sworn to protect the innocent. A predator's predator. This is the tale of innocence, and at what price it must be protected.

I played one of my favorite roles in Vesobe's movie Innocence (Parts 1 & 2). Sarah Chu is a confused young woman and her ramblings were a fun challenge, and a nice change of pace after playing several romantic roles in a role.

A Life Alone

A Life Alone shows the last few minutes of a woman's life.

This movie is a marriage between iclone3 and TheMovies. Most of the footage is done in TheMovies, but the outside set was done using iclone3 and 3DXchange.

I used the bluescreen in TheMovies to incorporate a few actors onto the iclone3 set, utilizing Ulead VideoStudio.

This movie features original music by StokeStudios and an animated prop by Bongoman.
